September 2019 Client Spotlight
We are proud to say that we have simply amazing people in our family of clients. Each month we take time out to shine a spotlight on our clients’ accomplishments, passions and experiences.
Please meet Mitchell Miller, and his parents, Robert and Ingrid Miller. My parents Robert and Ingrid have been married for 55 years. I was a late addition to the family as they had been together for almost 20 years before I was born, being their only child. They lived in a small house in the country in Washington State along the Columbia River and never moved since they were married. In fact, it was the same house my mom had lived in since she was 4 years old! My father was a machinist and carpenter, able to build or fix about anything on the 4 acres they lived on. My mom was a full-time volunteer and gave bible courses, as both of them were very active as Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Their faith has helped them through difficult times, as my father was approaching 90 years old and both of them were making frequent visits to the hospital. We recently helped them move to Orlando to be closer to our family and set up long term care for them. The Elder Law Center of Kirson & Fuller has been a great help to us during these last months. They assisted us in getting them placed at a facility shortly after arriving and worked with us through the process of getting them both approved for Medicaid. The health care staff always comments on how cheerful they are and how cute it is to see a couple of their age holding hands everywhere they go. It’s a blessing to be able to spend time with them as they age and we have appreciated all of the help we received along the way.
We are pleased to have effectively served Robert and Ingrid. To show our appreciation for their trust in us, we have made a donation in their honor to the world-wide work of Jehovah’s Witnesses, disaster relief.
